St. Paul's Announcements for Sunday, June 29
Confirmation and Bishop’s Reception. Today, June 29, the reception for Bishop Bauerschmidt will follow the 11:00 am service. It will be, as always, a festive and lovely celebration. Come join us in honoring Bishop Bauerschmidt.
VBS. Thank you to everyone who graciously loaned items and supplies for Vacation Bible School. Your contribution helped make the week a real success. Many of you have already claimed the items you loaned, but, if you haven't, please collect those things in the children's chapel off the parish hall. There are a couple of small swimming pools, a bowling ball or two, and several other items that need to e returned. Again, thank you.
Catechesis Bible Study. a six-week Bible study program begins Wednesday, July 9, 6-9 pm. We will explore lessons of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Program. These Biblical and liturgical lessons are spiritually empowering for all ages and everyone is invited. Parents will find this empowers them to respond to their child's spiritual growth, and participants will be prepared to teach the 3-9 year-old children on Sunday mornings! Summer Choir Rehearsal. Choir rehearsal in the Nave at 10:00 am. No Wednesday night rehearsals during the summer. This is a great time to join the St. Paul's Choir. Contact Organist/Choir Director Angela Tipps for more information.
Weight Watchers. Will meet each Wednesday at 5:00 pm in St. Margaret's Atrium. June 25, we will have an informational meeting. The new series will run July 2-September 17. Twelve weeks for the price of ten. Cost: $120 for new members, $110 for renewals. We must have fourteen paid memberships on July 2 to be able to continue our St. Paul's group.
Nursery Reservations. The nursery would like to request that individuals needing childcare for Ladies' and Men's Night Out make a reservation the Monday before they are scheduled to meet. We can then make sure we have sufficient staff available. Please call the front office to make the reservations.

Children's Christian Education Program. The Summer Christian Education for children program meets in St. Margaret's Hall. Please use the back entrance. For children who aged 4 (by October 1, 2008) and up through sixth grade.
Love Out Loud/Youth Group. Join St. Paul's Student Ministry on Wednesday as we join the Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity and build a home for a mother of three. We will be working during the day off campus of course! Parents and adults, we need your help to, you can help by signing up to volunteer or to provide breakfast or lunch for all volunteers for a particular day. We also need adults to pick up and take home students that wish to serve but do not have rides. To sign up go to www.stpaulsyouthonline.com.
Home Dedication. Many of us will be in Puerto Rico and will not be able to attend the first dedication, but for those who have volunteered, if you would like to attend and see the family receive the house that you helped build, feel free to do so. Call 796-8390 if you need more information.

Back to School Bash for Youth. July 28 and 29, Atlanta, GA. The youth will take in a Braves baseball game and Six Flags. Cost $85. Register online at www.stpaulsyouthonline.com.
Youth Summer Mission Trip Presentation. July 13, 6-8 pm in St. Margaret's Hall. All are invited to come see our pictures and hear our stories from our Mission Trips. Enjoy a sundae from the ice cream bar while you take in this wonderful presentation.

St. Paul's Announcements for Sunday, June 22
Cub Scout Pack 108. Saturday, June 28, 2008 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, St. Paul's new Cub Scout Pack 108 will be holding a fund raising car wash in the St. Paul's parking lot. Tickets are $5.00 and may be purchased in advance from any of the Cubs or at the event on the 28th. Call Susan Emory for information.
Community Lecture. You are invited to a lecture by Dr. Michael Tomlan on Thursday, June 26, at 6:00 pm in the Parish Hall. A reception will be held at 4:30 pm at the Heritage Center (225 W College St). The lecture title is "Why Historians and Preservationists Avoid Religion." Dr. Tomlan is our visiting scholar sponsored by the Provost's Office, the Dean of Liberal Arts, the History Department and the Center for Historic Preservation.
