The Search Committee has been selected
According to the canons of the Episcopal Church, the Vestry is tasked with discerning God's will by selecting parishioners to serve on a committee to identify candidates for the new rector of St. Paul's. For some time, your Vestry has been diligently working toward that objective. The process of selecting the parishioners God has called to serve in this capacity has been conducted by considering parishioners who meet the following criteria. Parishioners considered for this ministry who: actively represent the ministries and diversity of perspectives of St. Paul's; people who are respectful, thoughtful and open to the opinions of others; people who are prayerful and committed to listen to what God has to say to them; and people who love St. Paul's. Your Vestry is convinced that the pool of people identified as potential candidates for this ministry contains those individuals already selected by God to serve.
After weeks of prayerful discernment, your Vestry is pleased that a consensus has been reached and that the search committee has been formed. You should know that, as we have deliberately and prayerfully worked, there have been numerous instances that confirm the integrity of this process and the resulting committee. God is, and has been, at work in this process.
Twelve people were asked to serve and all accepted the call. In alphabetical order they are:
Newton Molloy - Chairperson
Ed Arning
Don Clayton
Dan Felciano
Stan Golden
Alicia Hollis
Sally Palmer
Marcie Richmond
Peggy Seneker
Wendy Watts
Don Whitfield
Jo Wintker
Your Vestry is very grateful that all these parishioners have agreed to serve. We are confident that they will represent us well. Let us all commit ourselves -- our thoughts and prayers -- to the process of calling God's next Rector for St. Paul's!
